othercinema.com, the official website for Craig Baldwin's ongoing series of unusual and experimental film, is making a call for submissions for the third issue of a new multimedia e-zine, OtherZine. OtherZine will be launched to coincide with the start of Other Cinema's Spring Season in February 2004.

Attracting a worldwide audience of tens of thousands of film enthusiasts, othercinema.com offers contributors a high-profile forum for their ideas, criticism, arguments, rants, polemics, manifestoes, and creative projects.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

A. Content

Though we are flexible in our editorial policies , we are actively searching for the following types of articles:

1. Interviews
2. Filmographies, alternative histories of obscure/marginalized work
3. Criticism & Theory

Articles under 2000 words in length are recommended.

We also welcome submission of creative audiovisual works of an alternative/experimental nature.

B. File Formats Contributors should submit all materials in electronic form to the following address: noellawrence@sprintmail.com.

We encourage submission of multimedia, provided the sum total of files for an article does not exceed 3 MB.

Below is a list of guidelines for file formats:

Text -- MS Word , ASCII text, HTML

Images -- gif, jpg

Audio -- .aiff, .mp3

Video --.mpg, .mov*

*Due to file size constraints, we recommend clips under 30 seconds. Macromedia Flash presentations are also warmly encouraged.

C. PUBLISHED MATERIALS

othercinema.com encourages the submission of previously published articles in PRINT MEDIA. Previously published articles already on the Internet are not encouraged.

D. SUBMISSION DEADLINE

We don't have a formal deadline. OtherZine comes out twice a year. So if we like what you sent, we will include in the next issue.
